Tobacco Is My Business No. 1
watercolor 16" x 20", framed

“Tobacco Is My Business" is a series of paintings based on the recent events of the tobacco program. 2005 is the first year since we have owned a farm that tobacco will not be raised. With the absence of tobacco goes many memories of pulling plants, riding a setter, using a hoe, topping and spraying, cutting and housing, and stripping for market. Many hours of work were shared with our daughters, in-laws, and neighbors.
