Member Meetings

Member meetings take place the third Wednesday of the month at 5:30pm at our facility in Washington, KY.

Our next meeting will be a special summer meeting August 18, 2010.

Critique

6:00pm August 25

Instead of our usual critique, we are spending this month creating artwork around a theme - SUNFLOWERS.

The Augusta Art Guild has graciously invited us to use their wall to display the work...(and drink their wine!) Bring your work of art (and an appetizer) by 6pm, and spend an evening celebrating our local artist's interpretation of the theme.

Artists are invited to leave their work at the gallery for the public to enjoy over the weekend. A small commission for any weekend sales will go to the Augusta Art Guild.

Photography Club

6:00pm September 7
Guest speaker: Tom Patrick

Tom is a Photographer and also an Instructor of both Photography and Photoshop all the while living on the family farm in Southern Ohio. Even though he didn’t start his career as a Photographer until the age of 43, his love of photography began back in the Winter of 1976 when he bought his first SLR camera while still a Senior in High School. The journey of life took him down many roads and away from photography in the years following High School and his first Photography class in the Fall of 1977. When in the late 1990‘s while anticipating a trip over seas bought a new Nikon camera and the passion for making photos came back stronger and greater than ever before. And it wasn’t until he journeyed west to Missoula, Montana to attend the “Rocky Mountain School of Photography” in 2003 that the intrigue of being an Instructor came to him. “When I would sit in the classes listening too the Instructors that would be sharing their knowledge and passion for photography with us; I thought, what a wonderful blessing it would be to be able to share with others the passion and love of the art of photography that I have” says Tom. So along with actively Photographing for Business and Personal pursuits, ever sense 2005 he has been sharing his love and passion for the art of photography to date with over 400 plus other Photographers ether in classrooms, giving Lectures or by leading Workshops. Tom explains “What a wonderful gift and blessing GOD has given to me! I not only get too enjoy the gift of making photographs, but also the blessing of helping others in making their own photographs!” To view a sample of Tom’s photographs and to check on up-coming Classes and Workshops visit: tompatrickphotography.com
